Today in MusIQ Club!

Hope everyone had an AWESOME Valentines day!!!

This week was a little chaotic with me being a little late because of some parking issues, but everyone did GREAT (as always!)

Aoi  and Laila – Piano Suite 2 level 4

Today we went to Theory Thinker and reviewed “Major Keys, Major Scales” and continued onto “Minor Keys, Minor Scales”. They both did an excellent job! I had them review sharps and flats today AND they learned a few new dynamic musical terms.

p = Piano = S oft.

mp = Mezzo Piano = Medium Soft

mf = Mezzo Forte = Medium Loud

f = Forte = Loud

Ashton and Madison – Children’s Music Journey 1B level 18

Ashton forgot there was MusIQ Club today at lunch so he was a little late. Today they learned “Growing Up Notes” with Miss Mendelssohn and well was the musical alphabet (ABCDEFG). Ashton and Madison both still have to remember to use BOTH hands while learning to play, remember your thumbs are ALWAYS on Middle C.  Aside from that, they both were awesome! Madison needs to finish her practice with Miss Melody for Lesson 18, so that will be her homework. Both of them did AMAZING as always.

Hawksley  and Nanna – Children’s Music Journey Level 1 Lesson 2/3

Today Hawksley and Nanna learned about “Circle Notes” with Mr. Beethoven. They did great, still amazing at sharing and I’m very proud of them! However, Hawksley didn’t want to finish his practice before playing games, luckily Nanna made sure that they finished everything before moving ion to games (YOU GO GIRL).

Turki Hashem Level 2C lesson 51

Turki had a rough day in class today. He forgot that there was MusIQ today, made inappropriate jokes in class, and I had to ask him countless of times to quiet down because he was being very loud and was disrupting the other students. He also had trouble with playing in time again and was easily frustrated. His homework this week is to finish the lesson as well as the practice at home, if possible.

Everyone did EXCELLENT today! THANK YOU AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Also, DON’T FORGET that we have class NEXT WEEK at 12:00pm in the Grade 4/5 Classroom located DOWNSTAIRS!
