Today in MusIQ Club!

Level 1A 7,8

We listening to songs by your new teacher Mr. Bach played on the piano, organ and harpsichord.  We discussed the Minuet and you played the maracas to keep the count of 3 to the Minuet in G.  You did very well Rheannon. Today you continued playing Holding Notes for counts 2,3 and 4.  Then after going through all the rooms and playing your practive songs from previous lessons you started Double Notes for Lesson 8. Good work today.

Level 2A 33,34

Keegan you started the Lesson 33 today while Issac and Brendan continue in the Practice Room for Lesson 33. Everyone  played the notes well and hand positions and posture looked very good today.  You all continue through Lesson 34 which had a number of songs to play. Then you complete all the required Practice with Miss Melody and then enjoyed games. We talked about intervals of a 5th, 8th and 3rd today in preparation to work on some Ear Training for next class.

In the Improv Room, you all  listened to Mr. Mozart’s song Eine Kleine Nachtmusik ( a little night music) which Keegan recognized was  the German language.   You improvised over this song until the end of class.

Today everyone received Certificates of Participation to acknowledge your good work for this term. I look forward to seeing you all in the new term. Have a great March Break!
