Hi Everyone!
Well, it was a small class today, and we missed Rachael and Nickelo. Hope to see you both next week!
We began this week with a fun rhythm session. Instead of just using our hands to make rhythm patterns, we used different parts of our bodies. We tapped our shoulders, our heads, our laps and even made our noses beep! Eventually, we even began to do the ‘hand jive!’ (Pancakes, potatoes and curly fries!)
Jessica, Jansyn and Allison
- We spent the next part of the lesson working on our music theory. You each had some manuscript paper and together we practised drawing treble and bass clefs, and then our C Major and G Major scales.
- After this, we reviewed note and rest values, and then created some written music in 4/4 time, adding the bar lines in the correct places. Good job everyone!
- At the computers, Jessica worked through lesson 82, and Alison and Jansyn spent some time on their individual choice pieces.
- For the last 5 minutes, we had some free time which you used to visit the Games Room!
Home Assignments
- Here is a sheet all about the C Major scale. Keep practising it every day!
- Print out this composition sheet. Use it to help you create your own song!
See you next week!
Bye for now!
