Today in MusIQ Club!

Hi Everyone!

It was nice to see you today, and we got quite a bit done in class too!

The main focus of the lesson today was technique. I worked with each of you as you showed me how well you’ve been doing with your scale practice. One or two of you need to visit these scales more frequently during the week in order to get really confident at playing them, but most of you are making excellent progress! Well done!

Then, we each spent some time working on our individual piano pieces, before we finished off the lesson with some free time!

Home Assignments

Alec and Ali – Have a go at this worksheet about musical terms and symbols. If there are any you’re not sure of, circle them on the sheet and we’ll go over it in class next week.

Carson – Using the notes from the pentatonic scale, have a go at writing your own composition. Use this sheet to help you.

Mehran, Arman and Craig – Print out this lead sheet for the tune ’This Old Man.‘ Using triads and their inversions, create a left hand accompaniment to the tune in the right hand.
