Levels 3 & 4:
You started off the class by going over your individual pieces for a few minutes to get your hands nice and limber for the rest of class!
We then spent some time reviewing our scales, and talking about the accidentals (sharps or flats) in each one. C major has none, G major has an F sharp, D major has F and C sharp! Then we also have F major with a B flat. What minor scales do you remember?
After taking some time to practice a few different scales, we talked about Triads once again. This is something we touched on last term, but we are now going to look at more. A triad is a chord containing three notes. There is always a skipped note in between each of the notes you play. A triad starting on C would contain the notes C-E-G. A triad starting on G would contain G-B-D. Good work girls!
Back in the Piano Player, you spent some time practicing INSERT PIECE NAME HERE. And to finish off the class, we spent some time playing a few games! Great work girls. See you next Thursday!
Things To Work On:
1- Keep working on your scales.
2- Complete this triad worksheet, if you haven’t done so already.
3- Practice for 15 minutes, every day this week!
