Today in MusIQ Club!

Hello Everybody!

Wow! What a great class to finish off this session! I’m so proud of the progress you have made in MusIQ Club this term. You have all worked hard and it was lovely to be able to award you your certificates today! Congratulations all of you!

Whole Group

Well, we began by spending a little bit of time talking about all the things we have learned this term in MusIQ Club. You also remembered a lot of history when we spoke about Mr Beethoven, Mr Bach and Mr Joplin! Well done!

Level 1A - Brett, Keenan, Simon, Nyah and Sara (We missed you Lauren!)

• Congratulations on passing Level 1A!
• Today, you worked with Mr Joplin once more on some tunes for right and left hand ant tunnels.
• You also did very well reading some very tricky circle note tunes. Great job!
• After spending some more time practising with Miss Melody, we visited the Games Room and Improvisation Room for some fun!

Level 1B – Jack and Jasmine

• Congratulations on passing Level 1B!
• Today, you met up with Mr Villa Lobos and played through some more songs for both hands using grown up notes!
• You remembered that a whole note was worth 4 counts, a half note is worth 2 counts, and a quarter note is worth 1 count! Good job!
• Today, you also learned about dotted half notes, worth 3 counts.
• To finish off, you played some Games and visited the Improvisation Room for some fun!

Level 2A  – Jacob (It was a shame you couldn’t stay today, but hopefully I’ll see you again after Christmas!)
