Hello Everybody!
I really enjoyed today’s lesson! Great job everyone!
Level 1A, Lessons 5 & 6 - Jenna and Ava
Well done girls! Two lessons this week again! Wow!
- In lesson 5 you worked with Mr Beethoven to review everything you’ve learnt so far in MusIQ Club!
- Then, in Lesson 6 you met a new teacher, called Mr Bach. He was a great composer who lived in Germany even before Mr Beethoven was alive! Can you remember how many children he had?
- You worked with Mr Bach to learn all about holding notes today. Remember to hold the note down and count the numbers on the screen!
- You followed the circle notes to play lots of songs which had high notes, low notes, Middle C’s and holding notes! Wow!
- You tried to copy some of Mr. Bach’s rhythms following the beats, but it was quite tricky! We’ll try some more of those next time!
- You went to the Games Room where you played two new games today, the Train Game, and the Princess Story!
- You spent some time in the Improvisation Room making up your own music.
Home Assignments for the Week
- Print out this wordsearch all about Mr Bach!
- On your keyboard at home, try making up some of your own songs which include holding notes!
- Print out this 5 line staff, and have a go at composing your own songs using circle notes!
Level 2A, Lesson 33 - Devin
Well done, Devin! You tried really hard today and did a great job! :)
- Mr Mozart reminded you how to write Middle C on the treble clef and bass clef
- He then showed you how the Right Hand notes C, D and E were written on the treble staff.
- You played through some songs using these new treble clef notes. I really liked to see you using your ant tunnels so well today!
- Together we spent some time writing notes moving in a stepping motion on the treble staff.
- You had a go at drawing some treble clefs with me. Awesome job, Devin!
- You had time in the Games Room and Improvisation Room to relax!
Home Assignments for the Week
- Print out this worksheet and try to match up all the parts on the Grand Staff!
- Print out this Grand Staff and practice drawing treble and bass clefs!
- Keep improvising and having fun on the piano at home!
Level 2C, Lesson 52 - Erin
Erin, you were great today! Lovely playing, and good theory work with me too!
- You worked with Mr Handel and learnt about Left Hand note F today.
- You played through some songs for both hands, and especially practised Bass Clef F with your left hand.
- We spent some time together looking at the Grand staff and we drew some notes which moved in steps (next door neighbour notes) and skips (skipping over a note in between).
- You also practiced drawing treble clefs and bass clefs!
- You played some rhythms in time with the woodpecker!
- You had time to visit the Games Room and Improvisation Room to finish off
Home Assignments for the Week

- Print out this tune ‘Old Grey Goose’ and have a try at home this week.

I am Jenna’s Nini (her version of Nana) and I live in Sarnia, ON. So it is so wonderful for me to be able to follow her progress and to talk with her about her lessons when we visit on the phone or Skype.
Having it during the school day is such a great advantage for both student and parent.
