Westmount Elementary Tuesday October 20th, 2009 12:10-1:10pm

It was great to see everyone again today. The important lesson we talked a lot about today is how to share fairly and help others. It’s important to take turns so everyone has a chance to learn and play. I can’t wait to see how well everyone shares next week!.

Level 1A

Today’s lesson was all about finding Middle C! You practiced making songs with Mr. Beethoven and Miss Melody using low, high and middle c notes. Everyone is also doing great improvisation, I love hearing your own music!

On the floor this week we talked about our musical alphabet and we even tried to do it backwards! We also talked more about Beethoven and his piece Fur Elise.

This week we talked about “More grown-up notes with Mr. Mozart, practiced with Miss Melody and played some games in the game’s room. It was also great to hear your improvisation in the library!.

We also reviewed different note values: whole, half quarter and dotted half notes!

Great job!
