Today in MusIQ Club!

Lesson 7:

We started off the class by reviewing the composers we have learnt about so far, such as Beethoven, Mozart and Bach. We then had a lesson with Mr. Bach where he got us to play songs with more holding notes! Great work everyone!

After our lesson, we went into the Games Room, where you all enjoyed the games, with the Train Game and the Princess Game being big hits! See you tomorrow!

Lesson 15:

Today, you did the practice session from Lesson 15. Lesson 15 was all about songs that had Musical Steps. A musical step is when two notes that are played one after another are side by side. Great work!

We also go the chance to do some Games, and then we tried to come up with our own Musical Step songs in the Improvisation Room!

Lesson 33:

We practiced 3 different Treble Clef notes today. These notes were C, D and E! They are played with fingers 1, 2 and 3 on your right hand. Mr. Mozart showed us how to find these notes, and then helped us play through different songs that use them. Great work!

We also got to spend some time practicing our 5 Finger Ant Tunnles in the Games Room and the Improvisation Room. See you tomorrow!

Piano Suite: (Both Levels)

Today, we learnt about, and reviewed our note values. The whole note is worth 4 counts, half notes get 2, quarter notes get 1 and eighth notes get half a count! Great work!

We then sat around and wrote out different rhythms, and you both tried to find the bars where I made mistakes, and had either note enough, or too many beats. Great work girls!

To finish things off, you both spent some time practicing different pieces that you have been working on. Fantastic work! See you tomorrow!
