Allegro Childcare, From 2:00-3:00, July 6, 2009.

It was great to meet all of you today! We started off by listening to part of the Moonlight Sonata, which was written by Mr. Beethoven. Mr. Beethoven was alive over 200 years ago, in a time with no cars, television, computers or even electricity! He was a fantastic composer, who kept on writing music even though he lost his hearing!

Lesson 1:

Today, you learnt about high notes, and low notes. High notes are shown by a bird, and low notes, are a whale on the screen. We took some time to play a few different songs, and then we headed over to the Games Room, and finally to the Improvisation Room. Great work everyone! See you tomorrow!

Don’t forget to print out this sheet to complete at home!

Lesson 12:

Because you have done MusIQ Club before, we spent our lesson today refreshing our memories, and practicing our five finger ant tunnels! Great work everyone!

After playing a few different songs with Mr. Joplin, we headed over to the Games Room and the Improvisation Room! See you tomorrow!

Here is a sheet for you to work on!

Lesson 30:

Today, you met Mr. Dvorak. He helped us review all the things we have done over the past while such as steps, skips, and note reading! Great work!

After our lesson, we headed to the Games Room, and the Improvisation Room! See you all tomorrow!

Here is a sheet to work on at home!

Piano Suite 1:

We spent the class today learning about the piano, as well as finger numbers, and the white key names on the piano! We then took some time to work on a few different songs that are written out with Finger Numbers. These helped you start getting used to placing your hand on the piano properly. Great work!

After this, we spent some time in the Improvisation Room, having fun. See you tomorrow!

Piano Suite 2:

We reviewed note reading today, and then we took some time to practice a few different pieces, such as Let It Be. Great work!

You also took some time to go to the Improvisation Room and be creative!
