Rockingham, Grades P-2, Fridays from 2:15-3:15 (May 1)

Hello, and great work this week everyone!

We began by experimenting with some more funny word phrases. You thought of some great ideas and managed to make them fit to the beat! Then we also reviewed how to find the note C on the keyboard. Remember to say “Group of two, and down to C” to help you find it. The C nearest the centre of the keyboard is the one we call Middle C.

At the computers you began by reviewing all that you have learnt so far with Mr. Beethoven in Lesson 5.  Then in the Games Room you discovered that you had some new games!

Before you began Lesson 6, we came together to talk about your new teacher, Mr. Bach. Like Mr. Beethoven, Mr. Bach also lived in Germany, but he lived even before Mr. Beethoven was alive.  He was a fantastic organist and teacher, and wrote a lot of music for the church. He married twice and had a lot of children! Can you remember how many?

Mr. Bach taught you all about holding notes in lesson 6. You need to look at the small number by the side of the note to know how long to hold it for. You did such a good job today, and we found that more games were released in the Games Room. You all enjoyed playing the ‘Princess Story’ and ‘Rescue Mission.’

Great job everyone!

Home Assignments For The Week:

  1. The activity sheet is the same as last week’s?

  2. Hi Mark,

    Well spotted! Sorry about that!
I have updated the post with the correct activity sheet for this week. It should be a maze for the children to complete.

    Many thanks!
    Adele
