IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL:

Today was our last class for the Winter Term! Thankfully, Spring Term starts NEXT WEEK! Make sure to register soon if you haven’t already done so to secure your place! Just go to http://www.musiqclub.com and click on Continuing Students in the lower left hand side of the screen!

Lesson 12:

What an exciting class we had today! We met Mr. Joplin again in the Lesson Room and he taught us how to form a 5 finger ant tunnel with our Left Hand! He also showed us the finger numbers on this hand! Afterward, we spent some time in the practice room with Miss Melody, working on our left hand even more!

After all this hard work, we spent some time playing some games, and then many of you went to the Library and used the computer to learn your very first songs on the piano! Some of you played Row Row Row your Boat, and others played A Tisket A Tasket! WOW! Isn’t it neat that we are finally playing songs that everyone can recognize!

Home Assignments For The Week & Reminders:

1- Keep working on your 5 finger ant tunnels in both hands! You are all doing a great job with this!

2- Keep finding different notes on the piano, don’t forget to use all 5 of your fingers to play them!

3- Print out and complete your weekly activity sheet!

Lesson 24/25:

Today we spent the class playing a bunch of different songs with Miss Melody, making sure to take our time and properly read all the notes, as well as count our notes properly.  You are all doing a fantastic job with your playing, so after all this practicing and playing, we headed over to the Games Room to have some fun.

We then got together and all talked about the different teachers we have had over the past few terms. Many of you remembered some very interesting facts about the composers, but we will have to start spending a little more time on our music history to help you all remember!

Things To Work On:

1- Go to this page and print out some of these songs to work on at home!

2- Spent plenty of time improvising, while making sure to always have your hands properly set on the piano!

3- Keep saying your musical alphabet forwards and backwards!!!

4- Print out and complete your weekly worksheet!

Lesson 48:

In today’s lesson, Mr. Satie spent some time helping us play some new songs that were written out on the Grand Staff. While playing through these songs, we took the time to make sure we were using all of our fingers, instead of playing with just our two pointer fingers.

After spending some time with Miss Melody in the practice room, we all went to the Games Room to relax, and we also spent some time working on Ode To Joy in the improvisation room. Great work everyone!

1- Print out a copy of Row, Row, Row, if you didn’t last week, and spend some time practicing it.

2- Keep working on Old Grey Goose.

3- Improvise every single day! If you want a copy of Ode to Joy please just email me and ask!

4- Print out and complete your weekly worksheet!
