Well done everyone! We had a fun class today:

Completed Lesson 11 with Mr. Joplin.
Learned about Scott Joplin’s life. Do you remember some interesting facts? Where was he from ? (Texas) What instrument did he play? (piano) What kind of music did he write? (Ragtime – a certain kind of ‘Jazz’ music)
Tried making ‘5-finger ant tunnels‘. Set your thumb on Middle C and all your other fingers on the neighbor keys. Do you remember the number for each finger? (Thumbs are 1, Pointers are 2, Middles are 3, Rings are 4, Pinkies are 5.)
Practiced new songs.
Played rhythm playbacks and pitch identification games.
Improvised and recorded some tunes.

At the end of class we played some games as a group, as well as some rhythm exercises. See you next week for our final class of the term!
