Lesson 2:
Today we had another quick chat about Mr. Beethoven and his life to make sure you all remember what we talked about in our last class. Afterwards, we went to the computer to learn more about high bird notes, low whale notes, and a new note, called Middle C. To find Middle C, you find the middle of the piano, then find the group of 2 black notes closest to the middle of the piano, and Middle C will be the white note just beside the lowest of the two black notes!
After our lesson and a practice session, we went to the Game Room and played our two games, one of which now had Middle C as one of the notes you had to find.
To finish off the class, everyone went to the Improvisation Room, to experiment a little more with the different sounds and songs that are in there. Great job everyone! I will see you all next week!
Home Assignments For The Week & Reminders:
1- Keep finding as many high bird notes, and as many low whale notes as you can!
2- Find Middle C every time you sit down at the piano!
3- Spend lots of time improvising, play different notes alone, and then together to see what kinds of combinations you can come up with!
Lesson 31:
In today’s class, Mr. Mozart had us play songs that use grown up notes. Mr. Mozart was born in Salzburg, which is in the country Austria. His father was also a musician, and a music teacher as well. Mozart was child prodigy, which means he was very good at playing and composing music even though he was a very young child!
After this lesson, we went to see Miss Melody for a nice practice session, before going to try out some brand new games in the Games Room! You all did a great job today and I look forward to seeing you all next Tuesday!
Home Assignments For The Week & Reminders:
1- Print out this page for some songs to work on at home! If you already know all of these ones, you can print out this page for even more songs to work on!
2- Practice writing out different rhythm challenges using the grown up notes we know so far! Then practice clapping them with a friend and playing them on the piano!
3- Don’t forget to improvise every day and keep having fun!
