Today in MusIQ Club!

What a great first class we had today!  Everyone behaved wonderfully and performed really well!  I enjoyed meeting your children!

Today we worked with the composer Mr. Ludwig Van Beethoven.  Mr. Beethoven was a composer that lived over 200 years ago and composed some of the greatest compositions ever.  He was also deaf.

Mr. Beethoven went over Lesson One with them which was teaching them where the high and low notes are on the keyboard.  In class we call them the high bird notes and the low whale notes.  After completing the lesson they practiced what they learned with Miss Melody and then played some games.

After everyone finished up with their games I had them come sit by the piano and brought up some “student teachers” to play some high and low notes to see if we could trick anyone.  For the most part everyone was able to correctly identify them!

All in all it was a great first lesson and I look forward to seeing everyone next week!
